Respectful Communication
What We Expect:
- Use respectful, inclusive language in all interactions
- Be constructive in feedback and criticism
- Respect different skill levels and learning processes
- Communicate clearly about game expectations and requirements
- Respond promptly to messages from other players and hosts
What We Don't Tolerate:
- Discriminatory language or behaviour based on race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other personal characteristic
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
- Abusive, threatening, or violent language
- Spam, excessive messaging, or unwanted contact after being asked to stop
- Public shaming or calling out other players inappropriately
Fair Play and Integrity
What We Expect:
- Honour your commitments when you join or host a game
- Provide accurate information about games, venues, and requirements
- Handle payments and refunds fairly and transparently
- Give honest, constructive ratings and reviews
- Admit mistakes and work to resolve conflicts amicably
- Respect game rules and agreed-upon formats
What We Don't Tolerate:
- Creating fake profiles or misrepresenting your identity
- Manipulating ratings or reviews
- Payment fraud, disputes, or attempts to avoid legitimate charges
- Deliberately providing false information about games or venues
- No-shows without reasonable notice or valid emergency
- Cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct during games
Safety and Wellbeing
What We Expect:
- Prioritise the safety of all participants during games
- Report unsafe conditions or behaviour immediately
- Follow venue rules and local regulations
- Respect others' physical boundaries and comfort levels
- Create inclusive environments where everyone feels welcome
- Take reasonable precautions for weather and playing conditions
What We Don't Tolerate:
- Reckless or dangerous behaviour that puts others at risk
- Playing under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Ignoring safety equipment requirements or protocols
- Physical violence or threats of violence
- Inappropriate physical contact or behaviour
- Bringing unauthorised individuals to games without host approval
Community Participation
What We Expect:
- Contribute positively to the Plus 1 community
- Welcome new players and help them feel included
- Share knowledge and help others improve their skills
- Be patient with players learning new sports or formats
- Participate in post-game social activities when appropriate
- Use the platform features responsibly and as intended
What We Don't Tolerate:
- Excluding players based on skill level unless clearly specified
- Creating unwelcoming environments for new community members
- Using the platform for purposes other than sports and community building
- Disrupting games or community events
- Attempting to recruit players for external commercial purposes
- Sharing inappropriate content or materials
Game Creation and Hosting
Host Responsibilities
What We Expect from Hosts:
- Provide accurate game details including skill level, format, and expectations
- Communicate clearly about costs, equipment needs, and venue requirements
- Ensure adequate supervision and safety measures for activities
- Treat all participants fairly regardless of skill level
- Handle cancellations and refunds according to stated policies
- Respond to participant questions and concerns promptly
Prohibited Hosting Practices
What We Don't Allow:
- Creating games with hidden fees or misleading pricing
- Discriminating against participants based on protected characteristics
- Failing to provide reasonable safety measures for activities
- Using games to promote unrelated businesses or services
- Creating duplicate or spam game listings
- Hosting activities that violate local laws or regulations
Profile and Privacy Standards
Profile Requirements
Required Profile Standards:
- Use a real, recognisable photo of yourself
- Provide accurate basic information about your sports interests
- Keep contact information current and respond to legitimate messages
- Respect others' privacy settings and boundaries
Privacy Violations
Prohibited Privacy Actions:
- Sharing other users' personal information without consent
- Using photos or information from other users' profiles inappropriately
- Creating profiles for other people without their permission
- Attempting to circumvent privacy settings or blocked user restrictions
Reporting and Enforcement
We rely on our community to help maintain these standards. If you witness or experience behavior that violates these guidelines:
Immediate Safety Concerns
Non-Emergency Reporting
- Use the "Report User" function on any profile
- Contact our support team through in-app chat with detailed information
- Provide specific examples, screenshots, or evidence when possible
- Include dates, times, and context to help our investigation
What to Include in Reports
- Clear description of the behaviour or incident
- Name(s) of involved parties
- Screenshots or evidence if available and safe to collect
- Date, time, and location of incidents
- Any attempts you made to resolve the issue directly
Investigation Process
Our Commitment
- All reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours
- Investigations are conducted fairly and confidentially
- Both parties have opportunity to provide their perspective
- Decisions are based on evidence and adherence to these guidelines
- Appeals process available for all enforcement actions

- Initial report review and safety assessment
- Gathering evidence and interviewing involved parties
- Review of user history and previous incidents
- Consultation with specialised teams when needed
- Decision and communication of outcomes
- Follow-up monitoring when appropriate
Enforcement Actions
First Warning
- Issued for minor violations or first-time offenses
- Includes explanation of violation and expected behavior change
- Recorded in user account for future reference
- May include educational resources or community guidelines review
Final Warning
- Issued for repeated violations or more serious misconduct
- Includes clear consequences for future violations
- May include temporary restrictions on certain platform features
- Requires acknowledgment and commitment to guidelines compliance
Feature Restrictions (1-7 days)
- Temporary removal of messaging, game creation, or joining capabilities
- Applied for violations of communication or participation standards
- Full platform access restored after period completion
- May require completion of community guidelines quiz
Platform Suspension (7-30 days)
- Complete temporary removal from Plus 1 platform
- Applied for serious violations or repeated misconduct
- Includes review meeting before reinstatement
- May require additional verification or commitments
Account Termination
- Permanent removal from Plus 1 platform
- Applied for severe violations or repeated serious misconduct
- Includes forfeiture of any remaining wallet credits
- Ban on creating new accounts or using platform services
Legal Action
- Reserved for cases involving criminal behaviour, fraud, or threats
- Includes cooperation with law enforcement when appropriate
- May include pursuit of civil remedies for damages
Appeals Process
Right to Appeal
- All enforcement actions can be appealed within 30 days
- Appeals must include new evidence or explain procedural errors
- Independent review team evaluates all appeals
- Decision communicated within 7 business days
Appeal Requirements
- Written explanation of grounds for appeal
- Any additional evidence or context not previously considered
- Acknowledgment of guidelines and commitment to compliance
